Fedor Emelianenko will be in the EA Sports MMA video game

July
29

Accorsing to Gamespot.com Fedor Emelianenko will be in the new mixed martial arts game produced by EA Sports.

EA has also acquired Renato Sobral and Gegard Mousasi to appear as fighters in the game. While these are big names to the hardcore MMA fan, EA sports is going to have a hard time competing with the UFC video game that was released earlier in the year.

Dana White will not allow any fighters on his active roster to appear in the game, and for pretty good reason. Apparently EA Sports shunned him when White approached the company with the video game idea.

“But let me tell you what—I’ve been in the trenches for almost 10 years, and I’ve been dealing with all these businesses, and EA was one of them. EA Sports told us, ‘You’re not a real sport. We wouldn’t touch this thing. We want nothing to do with this.’” , said White.

In order to add some appeal to the video game, I have come up with a list of potential characters that might draw the attention of not only the hardcore MMA fan, but the casual fan as well.

Chuck Rydell – A fictional light heavyweight legend of the MMA world, known for his brutal one punch knockout power.

Carnage Jackson – A wrestler turned boxer known for his antics inside and outside the ring. He’d also compete in the light heavyweight division.

Ryoto Lachida – This fictional fighter would be touted as the most “elusive” fighter in the game. While most of the fighters would be labeled as kickboxers, wrestlers, or BJJ experts, Ryoto would be known for his Karate.

Andersen “The Tarantula” Salva – A muay thai/BJJ expert who has endured success in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.

“The Enigma” JD Benn – An MMA champion whose BJJ and boxing are on another level. JD is another character who has tasted success outside of his weight class.

Just a few off of the top of my head.

Each article I have read is very well written and to the point. I would also like to say, not only are the posts well written, but the lay-out of your site is excellent. It was easy to navigate from article to article and find what I was looking for with ease. Keep up the excellent work you are doing, and I will return many times in the future.
