I’ve recently taken an interest in my friend Liz. She likes sports, and more specifically MMA, so what’s not to like? Every girl I hang out with takes one look at an MMA fight and says “that’s too violent”.

So In an effort to show off with my impressively accurate MMA predictions, I was rattling off some of my UFC 86 analysis. Now I am usually right on the money, but thanks to Forrest Griffin I was completely faced, and now I have to give credit where credit is due.

Liz was nice enough to recap our text message sequence, where she was explaining why she thought Forrest would win and I thought she was just being a cute fan girl.

LV- so big fight tonight

EH- oh yeah. forrest griffin right?

LV- Yeah too forrest is going to lose

EH- oh yeah…you think?

LV- oh yeah. jackson is on top of his game, hes the stronger competitor. griffin is good but not good enough

EH- i dunno.. we will see i guess. i’m still going for forrest.

EH well jackson has been in more fights yeah but if you look at the records jackson is 27-5 and griffen is 14-4 so on a percentage wise they are the same.

LV- thats true

EH- lol yeah so impressed a girl is actually spitting off records and numbers to ya?

ah well this cute fan girl seemed to know her facts and had an idea where the fight was going. both were strong competitors and with the experience jackson has i could see where larry would def put his money on him. although Forrest took a lot of time to be prepared for his competitor and it showed through the fight…
july 19th we will see if i can keep it up. hey larry and i might even agree on the next fight either way this girl be voicing my prediction and yeah whats not to like? =)
