This is a business and ROI is the bottom line... if a Mayweather MMA fight will draw enough PPV buys to cover the signing cost, why wouldn't Zuffa make the deal? If Mayweather's people believe the draw would pay, then all they need to do is negotiate for a % of the buy. As to weight classes... Dana has stated very clearly that WEC will host the lighter weight classes, and the UFC will have the heavier fighters. So, if they have signed Mayweather and have inked a better deal for either or both (WEC and UFC), it would make sense that Mayweather would fight under the WEC brand and help to catapult the WEC into the MMA mainstream. I've covered him his entire career and I just don't see him being willing to take such a huge pay cut. We're talking about a guy that is commanding $15-$20 million per fight in boxing. There is no way Dana will come close to any kind of purse like that. The big announcment will probably be a network deal with Fox. That's my guess. I don’t see Floyd getting into MMA.
